    PROTX upgrade

    Hi,

I am absolutely desperate! I am trying to get my website onto PROTX and I have done everything that the Actinic pages tell me to.

I am converting from a customised secure host, and the warning about going to a secure server is still present. When I use the website on the internet, it appears to be going to the correct page (https://ukvpstest.protx.com/vsp2form/submit.asp) but it is giving an error saying that I need the encrypted password, which is confirmed as correct in my system.

When PROTX support tried the website, they didn't get to this page, they got to https://secure.actinic.com/cgi-bin/sp000000.pl

By the way the correct page didn't seem to be updated correctly in the OCCPROTXSCRIPTTEMPLATE.pl (it didn't contain the last bit of the address/vsp2form/submit.asp). Was I correct to update it?

I need help today if anyone has any answers....

    Cheers,

    Pauline

Your sites Debit/Credit card option is using the Actinic Shared SSL option for processing receipt of card details and it not set to use Protx.

Go into your Payments and Security settings and click the + symbol and locate Protx from the listings of provided OCCPs, then configure that option and once that is completed (as per the Protx instructions on achieving it) you should be fine.

Ahhh, just saw your test do not use set up, which is set to use protx, but this is set in test mode, so you need to change it away from test mode and check over the settings in the ini files as per the instructions.

        Hi,

Thanks for the response - are you saying that I should change the operation to production mode instead of test mode?

All the variables are now set to their live settings and PROTX said I should run like that with test switched on, until I had tested the system.

        Cheers,

If they said leave in test mode, then leave in test mode until you are happy it is working.

The reason they told you when they did the test that is went to secure.actinic.com, is because the default debit/credit card payment option listed directed it to that service, so they obviously did not look further.

Somewhere amongst your setting changes within the templates, you have missed something, so would suggest you go back through the instructions, or direct protx to your bottom selection for there service testing in your site to get them to tell you exactly what is missing to be honest.
