Merging file error "Diff File Checksum Error"

    Using Catalog ver 7

At the end of an upload we got the following error.

"An error occured while merging files on the remote site. Diff file checksum error ........."

The symptoms are doing a search for a product returns the old information, rpre the update, but on clicking through to the product you get the correct info.

Can anyone throw any light on this - there are thousands of products on the site and a full refresh takes quite some time. We do not want to risk the whole site going down at this time so are resisiting doing this at for another week or so.

Any ideas on this problem in the meantime would be great.

to see the problem: The site is www.microaid.ie - select the shop (which will be getting a face lift in the new year to bring it into line with the front page) and search for item 1047572 - note the price on the search result screen and then on the actual product - they differ

    Thanks

This error is usually due to a corrupted .fil file on the server, the easiest way to get rid of it would be to do a website purge and refresh by going into Help | Troubleshooting | "Website Purge and Refresh', select both options and click on OK. Please do this at the end of the day when traffic is minimal or non existant.

      Thanks Bruce

We will wait until the weekend incase the problem gets worse - It is only the search pages that we think are affected at the moment and then only for a small number of products that were amended before the last update.

      Thanks again

When you say "removed" do you mean it was installed and you have now un-installed it and are running IE 10 or an earlier version?

If so try Refreshing your site as a corrupt file may be up there due to the IE problem.
