Order Deletion

When you delete an order from actinic, do these orders get deleted permanentely from the database.

When I do my accounts and I run a report from the actinic database - are deleted orders appearing ??

When you delete an order, the order is marked as deleted in the database, although the record is physical still there, albeit with a deleted flag set.
Deleted records shouldn't show up in any reports.
To permanantly delete records from the database you need to compact the database, which is an option under housekeeping.
It is good practice to compact the database at regular intervals (how regular depends on how much deleting you do), as this makes best use of disk space, and keeps the database operations running faster.
You should always back up your data prior to doing any housekeeping operations.

Housekeeping|Purge|Purge Orders option will remove any deleted orders permanently from the database.

The housekeeping option doesn't work permanently so I'll just compact the database and see how that goes !
