Components

OK, so after reading through everything on components, I have a small problem to sort out.

1) all my products are components (long story why, so lets not bother about that).

2) I do not want the shopping basket to show components

3) I do want the components to be listed in the packing list and invoice

4) I do want the components to reduced from stock

Question:

is the above possible?

Any advice appreciated

Take those in reverse order

4) to have stock control, every product needs to be based on and linked to a hidden product with stock control enabled on that product.

3) and 2) - the solution to one breaks the other - I'm afraid you will have to make a choice
