    Free Product setup

I want to put an offer on our site whereby is someone spends £15 they get a free pack of cat or dog treats.

What I really want is for Actinic to prompt them and ask them to select either the cat or dog treats.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks

It might be possible to use one of the User Defined Checkout prompts to collect the info. And to use the Cart value JavaScript to check the total and show / hide the question and answer field.

There may be better solutions so others may respond with them.

Set up two products, cat treats, dog treats with stock controll and then hide them.

Add a new product - "free treats", with 1component-choice and 1 attribute -type. Add two choices to the attribute, dog or cat, link these to the product you have above. Make sure you price these properly, either at hwat you normally sell them for, or really expensive if you don't want to actually sell them.

Then set up a discount giving the product "free treats" free if the customers spends over £15.

The customer will be prompted in the cart that they can get a product free if they add it to the cart.

You can see how this works on www.blushingbuyerx.co.uk if you add any product to the card you can get a sachet free by adding it to the cart. (Adult products on site, although nothing nasty)
