change of template required

my cart bounce page and my sorry no results for this search are using act_primaryalt.html which i use for the checkout pages where i have displayed a see u later type message,
can i change the page the first mentioned are displayed upon..?

The cart bounce page and the search results page are displayed within the Overall Layout of the checkout process, this means you will not be able to display them independent of the rest of the checkout process.
