    Unable to send clients emails

A client of mine has had a V4 Catalog for some years now, they've recently moved server to liquid web and since that has happened they are unable to send emails to customers regarding the order process of their purhchase.

I've checked with the hosting company and Authenication is set up so he can send emails to who he wants, he is also able to use everything else in Actinic as per normal, he can receive emails when he gets an order through but he can't send emails for some reason, if you go to advanced network setup it's saying everything is ok but when he tries to send an email he gets the following message.

Failed to communicate with the SMTP server.

    Possible Cause:
    Network transmission problems.

    Recommendation:
    Retry

    Resolution:
If retry fails, check your SMTP settings
    or contact your ISP.

    The error was:
    ClientEmail@hotmail.co.ukError returned from SMTP server (7: 550-host.nedns.net (www.gear4bikes.co.uk) [67.43.0.140]:49366 is currently not

    Command: send Filename:
There looks as though there is some information missing from the error message as it starts to say something is not ........ but then is cut in mid sentence.

If anyone can shed any light on this it woudl be much appreciated.
Hope is a good thing, Not a bad thing, Maybe the best of things.

    Hi Andy

Support for SMTP authentication was introduced only in Actinic Version 7. If however you wish to continue with V4, you can try using "localhost" (without the quotes) as the SMTP address. This has been known to work for most customers.
Alternately, you can use Sendmail which uses a simple Perl Mailer module. You can find more information about this here.

However since this patch is available only for Version 5 and Version 6, you would need to consider upgrading.

    Hope this helps.
