    Your receipt will be displayed shortly ...

    And it doesn't ever appear. I have checked on the forum and others seem to have this problem but can't see the solution anywhere. My customers have complained before but I haven't given it much attention cause it has always worked for me on test orders .... until today!

    Another topic, which may or may not be relevant but has driven my crazy today is Java browser / Java switched off problems and therefore not able to place order. Have followed all the instructions to disable java but nothing worked. Along the way I have downloaded some Java code from their website as advised. I can now place test order but end up with the above problem.

    This has only happened since I have upgraded to XP.

    Can I have simple instructions to email customers who have the JAVA problem. I have followed instructions in java.htm but it didn;t work. None of my security levels are set to high.

    Can anyone help me?

    Have you downloaded the latest java update from the Microsoft Website, if you have not, try this and once installed, let us know if the issues persist.

      Still not working

      Hi there, thanks for replying, Xmas hols and silly work schedule has delayed me. Have downloaded Java updates and still have the same problem. Did contact Microsoft and they couldn't help beyond saying remove the program but Java isn't in my list of programs .... am getting very confused about this, but the net result is that I am still hanging on the receipt will be displayed shortly page and my customers are still telephoning orders as they have Java error msgs. Can you help me?

        You will find the Java program if you look in Control Panel. Here you can open the Java Control Panel and check the settings. Can you also post a link to the site so that we can check it for you.

              way round the problem

              i found a bit of a way round this so customers wont sit around waiting by changing the text from standard phrase in the promt to.....
              order sent thank you

              in actinic go to design/text/website/encription(java) and change the prompt text.

                Receipt page problem appears to be solved

                SnOwman - your suggestion was a very handy stop gap solution.

                The Actinic technical support team advised me to change the network setup Codebase setting to ./ and the problem appears to be solved. (At least there have been no further reports of the receipt page appearing during the past 7 days.)

                Please let the community know if this clears the problem for you.
