PC Crashed - No Backup!!!!

I have been asked to help someone who has a store which uses Catalog version 3. Their PC has been destroyed and they have no backup but the site is available online (so I can FTP and get the files). If I load the original software onto their new machine, how can I get the files into their site.

Any suggestions would be appreicated.

You can't. You can grab the images and use the text etc but the raw data is not available on the server.

So basically I need to start from the beginning and create the sections, products, etc. from scratch?

the only useful thing on the server is the html pages and the images, you can copy and paste your product descriptions from these, and use the page to identify which image goes with which product.

Other than that its a manual rebuild.

You may also want to consider data recovery specialists. Ontrack ( www.ontrack.com ) can get data off dead disks. Since everything you need is usually in the Site1 folder it may be a straightforward job for them.
