Help needed please - error in tree display

    Hi guys,

Our PC crashed while we were adding new product information (V7). When we next opened Actinic we received the following message...

"An error occurred while loading products into the tree display. Error retrieving record".

It seems that 1/3rd of our sub sections show the full information relating to the products contained within each sub section but we cannot view or access the actual product pages. We realise we could import the last working backup but as we have not backed up for a little while (yes, we know, ALWAYS back up) we are keen to learn if any other option is available to us?

    All help appreciated.

    Big smiles, Sue

You could make a copy (to another name) of the ActinicCatalog.mdb file then open the original with Access and run compact/repair to see if that solves the problem. If not, look in the same database for the broken record(s) and delete them - but the problem here is you need to find *all* the bits scattered around the various tables.

      Resolved, Thank you so much

Thank you so much Bill. We followed your advise and run the compact/repair option via Access and it worked. Fantastic and so easy.

THANK YOU so much. We owe you big time. If you see something on our site that takes your fancy Bill, let us know and it's yours!

Big big hugs and a very Happy New Year to you and all the cool guys at Actinic Support
