Customer reports not able to order

Today I had a customer who tried to order but when placing the, add to basket she got a blank page. After her and her husband had tried from another PC the URL was showing as:

http://cgi.www.demon.net/cgi-bin/www...om/ca000001.pl

However when we called her and took the order by phone I entered the details directly as if I were her and that went through without a problem.

The page I got was:

http://cgi.www.demon.net/cgi-bin/www...m/ca000001.cgi

Any ideas what's going wrong?

It's the first time this has happened BTW.

Maybe it's me but I can't see any difference between those two links.

OK. I just noticed the .cgi versus .pl file types.

Looking at your site both file extensions seem to work fine. I'd guess it's probably because the customer had cookies blocked within IE. If there's no cookie then actinic doesn't know which cart contents to associate with the browser so the cart will always be empty.

Thanks Mike that's what I suspected a cookie problem especially as she said it was from her work PC that she was accessing the site.
