Recommended products page - is this possible?

Right, here is what I am trying to do...

Once someone has bought a product or placed an item in their basket I would like a page to appear that suggests some 'recommended products'. In this instance it will be extended warranty for the items they are buying.

Is there any way to do this with Actinic? Perhaps as a new stage in the checkout process?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Regards - Ben

    Norman's Upsell might interest you:

Otherwise you could perhaps add fragments below the product with links to extras.

Forgive my ignorance, but what are 'fragments' and how do they work? Are they part of the normal package?

I will take a look at the upsell link now, thanks for the info.

Fragments can contain extra info that you can include on pages. Check out page 30 in the starter guide.

Jont, I quite like the look of that but the demo link on their page doesn't go anywhere. Do you know of any sites that have demo's of the product?

Check out Jo's (Pinbrook) site over at http://www.surf-wax.co.uk/ which has this implemented

I would also prefer if possible to have the 'recommended products' page after the first stage of the check out. Is this possible?

                Therefore it would go...

                1. customer selects product and adds to basket
                2. Customer selects 'checkout now'
                3. New intermediate page opens with 'Recommended Products' on (could be like the existing page that opens currently and then forwards on but with the extra info)
                4. Normal checkout page now opens where customer enters name, address etc

In my case the recommended products would always be the same (regardless of the product being purchased) so a static type of page would be fine.

                Any way to do that?
