    Naviagtion Buttons on Brochure Pages

We have just done away with the front end pages created in Dreamweaver and gone with the Actinic Brochure pages. We would like to add two further links to the naviagion but don't know how to do this. The first is email so when you click on it it opens a blank email (as it does in the catalogue pages) and the second is information so from the home pages customers can see all our details and terms, etc. Any suggestions appreciated.

You have 2 options here, one is to download the Advanced Users Guide from here and take a look at the topic 'Inserting Individual Navigation Buttons'. The second option which is much easier would be to open your brochure template Act_BrochurePrimary.html with an editor and look for NETQUOTEVAR:HEADERGUIDE, change this to NETQUOTEVAR:FOOTERGUIDE, save and exit the template. This will give your Brochure page the same navigation as the store pages.

    Hope this helps,

    Kind regards,

Thank you Bruce. I'll try your suggested second option.

Hello Dawn, did this solution work as when I try and follow the same instructions all I end up with on both brochure and catalog pages is the textline FOOTERGUIDE and no actual navigation.
        Many thanks

          Simon,

Yes, I appear to get the same result you get. I'm now going to have a look at the first method Bruce suggested and see what I can make of that.

I have just looked at the Advanced User Guide and find the following:

There is a NETQUOTEVAR for each separate navigation button in the navigation bar. These can be used instead of the restrictive NETQUOTEVAR:HEADERGUIDE and NETQUOTEVAR:FOOTERGUIDE and they can be used in Act_Primary, Act_Header and Act_Footer. Sadly, these variables will not work in brochure pages.

I would like to get further buttons in the brochure pages so it looks as if this solution won't work either.

              Dawn,

What is the theme you are using on the site?

              Kind regards,

We are using the futuristic theme.

I tried it again on a default store using the Futuristic theme and did the following..

Opened Act_BrochurePrimary.html in Dreamweaver ( you can also use notepad )

                  Looked for NETQUOTEVAR:HEADERGUIDE

and changes it to read NETQUOTEVAR:FOOTERGUIDE

Saved the template and then previewed in Actinic and I can see the catalog navigation on the Brochure pages. You can see an example here http://support.actinic.co.uk/~bksupp...uce/index.html

                  Kind regards,
