    Add-on sales

I need to add a pop-up/ mini window whereby I can offer add-on items for sales.

For instance, I have a Joke Book £2.99 and keyrings £3.99 which sell well, but as an add-on. I would like this to be offered as an option as an additional purchase.

We often see additional options offered in other shops, can we do that in Actinic?

Just point me to the threads...

    Thanks,
    Sally Dickson

      Related Items

What I do is use the LINK facility in fragments.
So for each 'related' product, I create a new fragment (text only). Then use [LINK] in the text and select the product or section you want to link to from the Link tab. Simple!
Also, this way, if you inadvertantly create broken links by deleting a related product or section, Actinic will pick it up and alert you.
You can see this working at www.wightcomputers.co.uk with any product which has accessories eg. Motherboards and processors.
      Hope this helps.

        Thanks for these replies

        Thanks for both these replies.

I will try the fragment approach, check I understand what you have done.

I like the look of the drillpine add-on, but £75 is a bit steep!

Let me just mull it over.

        Thanks

I was going to suggest the crosssellpro addon but it is £300.

But in my opinion worth it

£75 for Norman's solution is a steal, how many extra sales do you need to make to cover the cost?

You have to speculate to accumulate

I (no kidding) - just received this email today
Thanks, yes it is Upsell. By the way, Upsell works very well and makes a
real big difference to the profit per customer. The payback time was 1 day!

            Thanks,

However it depends what you're selling. If all your products cost pennies then it will take a lot of add-on sales to make up the ground.
