Just getting used to v.7 and having a few problems with navigation.
Our current site uses V6 and one of the elements I dislike is that the brochure and catalog are seperate 'elements' of the same site. I would like to intergrate the info from our brochure pages so that people do not have to leave the 'catalog' to access this info ie: the site appears uniform throughout. With this in mind;
1. Apparently, by replacing HEADERGUIDE with FOOTERGUIDE in the BrochurePrimary template will replicate the catalog navigation within the brochure pages. I have done this in Dreamweaver but it's not working? All I end up with on both brochure and catalog pages is the textline FOOTERGUIDE.
2. The brochure pages I have in place are for extra info like 'Join our mailing list', 'London Shop Details', 'Live Events' etc. Rather than linking to these pages as part of the navigation is there a way of adding these as boxes similar to the section, shopping cart etc boxes that appear on the theme I am using (Smart) with nthe inclusion of small images/hyperlinks etc.
http://www.virgofashions.com/
is exactly what I am trying to acheive
I think this is the best way to have this info on ALL pages.
I thought I had a good understanding of Actinic but this has thrown me a bit.
Many thanks
