I am have a problem with the way Actinic is handling a discount I am doing.

The above page shows a product that has a £40 discount applied to it. When you click to buy it the following screen states the original price. Providing you then go to checkout the discount IS applied but people don't seem to trust this and there have been quite a few calls to the call centre complaining about it.

I thought about just amending the product price but have other discounts advertised which must not be allowed on sale items.

Any ideas on how to get around this?

Try changing the "Shopping Mode" for that page to be Quantity in Product Page.

I see you're using my "Donationaware" Dynamic Product Images. It's been updated 4 or 5 times since the version you downloaded.
