    Basehref

Have a few questions regarding BASEHREF.

    1) Why does BASEHREF need to be hardcoded into each of the site pages?

    2) Could the perl scripts be modified for a particular site so that BASEHREF is no longer needed in the template?

    3) If so, why doesn't 'catalog' hard-code the value into the perl script directly before a site is uploaded?

    Thanks.

    Domino1,

The BASEHREF is brought in using NETQUOTEVAR:BASEHREF which you will find in your Primary Templates, Act_BrochurePrimary.html, Act_Primary.html and Act_PrimaryCheckout.html. If you have this line <Actinic:BASEHREF VALUE="NETQUOTEVAR:BASEHREF"/> in the templates, then Actinic will use the Catalog URL in Network Settings and insert the value on the generated web page. The BASEHREF is required for the proper reference of Images etc on the pages.

    Kind regards,
