    Up-Selling Options

    Hi,

I have seen around some software which allows you to add "people who bought those all bought these...." type elements to your site. Could anyone please tell me how easy these are to set up and use, as I am a complete novice to Actinic, as someone else tweaked a template for me and I am now trying to sort out the rest of my site myself - so simple language please!!

As I have over 2000 products, I think this type of option would prove invaluable to help visitors see more of my selection during their visit.

    Kate.

I have and have tried calling to no avail.

It doesn't say whether you need to have any technical knowledge to use it or not and that is what I really need to know before I get all excited about the idea!!

If it involved fiddling with templates and HTML then it is going to be beyond me and so far, all the IT experts I have spoken to about helping me do little jobs on my site which involve HTML have said they haven't a clue how to work with Actinic. Hence the reason I am trying to do it myself!

It will involve some html work - but I'm sure it will have good instructions - try emailing Norman Rouxel via the forum (see members list)

Better yet, email him from his own site using the provided link, and you might also visit his support forum where he and users provide additional support.

Thank you for your responses - I will email him directly and ask about his product.

Do you have recommendations for people who could do Actinic work for me?

You're lucky to have found a number. I had taken it off my Actinicstuff pages as it was being (ab)used as an "Actinic Support for Everything" line. It's back there now (but not on all pages) and is a VOIP line so that I can even answer when I'm out of the country. There was no message on it's answering machine.

As to installation and usage - there's a Demo download that lets you try it out (or just read the installation details).

At the risk of hijacking this thread has any ever managed to run VOIP on a 56k modem?

                    Jo,

Re VOIP I'm using a Draytex Vigor 2600VG ADSL Modem / Router which lets me plug normal telephones into it and it handles the VOIP internally. It even has 2 phone ports so it can handle 2 separate VOIP lines. It works well.
