    HTML in CUSTOMVAR's ...

    I have a CUSTOMVAR called EXTTXT1, i.e. 'Extended Text 1'.

I want to place a sentence in this field that includes a LINK from one of its words as follows.

    The Sentence :
All designs fully compliant with BS5499 and the Health and Safety (Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996.
I want to linka popup from the word BS5499, so users can explode some detail on this standard.

    I tried ...

    HTML Code:
!!<All designs fully compliant with <a href="../mypages/popup_BS5499.htm" target="_self">BS5499</a>and the Health and Safety (Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996.>!!
    but it didn't work.

How do I do this ?

    Thanks, Simon.

P.S. I actually wanted a Popup brawser window and tried to set up the action in DW in Behavious. That didn't work properly either. Not sure why at the mo.. having a bad day ?

Do it with out the !!< and >!! tags. Customvars can contain HTML as they are.

As you have it you've created an <All ...> tag that browsers will ignore.
