    Logo

    Hi All,
I have managed to get my logo at the top of the site, but this is not central.
This is using the Business template.
The main site and the rest of the pages are central, but the logo on all pages is slightly to the left.
Please answer with idiot proof wording as I am a newbie.
    Thanks in advance.

Try rewording your question for clarification and include your site address. I may not be able to offer any suggestions, but it would aid anyone who can to understand exactly what it is that you're wanting to do.

      logo

      Hi,

Sorry if that was not clear enough.
What I meant is that I have got my banner at the top of my pages, but this is slightly off to the left (not left aligned) even though it is centrally aligned.
My site is not live so I am unable to let you see it.
I would put a test site up, but can't see how to do this.
      Hope you can help.
      Regards.

Based on my experience with upwards of 500 images on my site, it sounds like you may need to crop your logo (or banner). Typically, a logo will align left and should appear in the same place on all pages. If there is image background to the left of your logo image or text and the logo background is the same color as your page background it's going to appear to be pushed toward the center of the page. Are you trying to center it, or do you want it left aligned?

What do you mean by "even though it's centrally aligned"?

            Banner

            Hi,
            Thanks for the reply.
When I say it is centrally aligned I mean it is (the whole site) central on the web browser, even though it is the baner/logo is slightly off to the left.
            Hope this makes sense.
            Thanks.

Mark, if the logo is contained in a table, and the main contents appear below, also contained in a table, then check that both table widths are the same.

                banner

                Hi,
All I have done is replaced the logo.gif from the out of box setup and replaced it with my own banner, do I need to resize my banner?
                Thanks.

If it is wider than the table width settings, you do.

In Business (nonCSS) layout, the table width of 600 is set in ActBrochurePrimary.html just above the NETQUOTEVAR:BROCHURELOGO

                        Hi Bill,
I am using the theme, Specific Designs, BusinessCSS.
How do I find that through the design options tab?

                          Sorry, you said Business.

Business CSS table width is set in Design | Options - Site Defaults, by the ACTSTDWIDTH setting.

You can find out which template file does what by reading the Actinic Help, and see the contents of the templates by going to Advanced | Template Manager - there are two views. The first is a blue coloured graphical illustration of a page which links through to the controlling template when you click a part of the page. The other, more useful, view can be reached by clicking Change View in the first. This gives a grey tabbed box, where the templates are represented by buttons.

                            changes

                            Hi Bill,
I have got my head around what that does thanks.
But the problem is this, my logo/banner is staying aligned with the text in the page which is fine, but the site button just under my banner i.e. links, shopping cart etc are centrally aligned which means my logo is slightly to the left.
Idealy I want to get the logo/banner to stay centrally above the buttons.
                            Hope this makes sense.
                            Thanks.

Have a look at the finished code (Do preview in browser, then view | source) and see if there is a <td>&nbsp;</td> in front of the first button. If there is, then add the same code into your Act_Primary, Act_BrochurePrimary just before the NETQUOTEVAR:BROCHURLOGO etc to see if that gives you the effect you want.
