    Add choice to existing component

    Hi,
I am trying to add more choices to an existing component/attribute.
It adds it to the permutatiopns box when I click fill list, but when it is uploaded to the web site, and you go to place the item in the shopping cart, the item registers, but there is no monetry value, just a couple of dashes.

Any help, advice would be appreciated

    Hi Mark,

On the main [parent] product, make sure you have checked the 'No order Line for Main Product'.

Then, on the Component, Check the 'Component as Seperate Order Line'.

Then, on the Componets Permutations tab - check that each line refers to a valid product and in turn each product has a valid price.

    Cheers,

    Bill.

      Hi Bill,
      Thank you for your help,
I have managed to follow thr first 2 steps, but can't seem to get to grips with the last bit. valid product and valid price.

I can't understand where the actual price goes? I have been at this all day!

          Mark,

Bill's solution presupposes that your components are set up elsewhere as full products in their own right (perhaps hidden on website) and that you are linking the components to that original component.

If this is not the case, and you have entered a price against each line in the permutation, you need to go back to the main product and set the pricing model. There is an excellent description of how to use this under the index topic 'components' in the Actinic Help | Help Topics.

Yes - Bill is correct - I have products set up that are 'hieen' and then use them in the Permutations tab. I hope I didn;t mislead you

Using hidden products, the price goes on the product before you hide it, then on the component when you select associated product, also select use price from original product (I'm not at an actinic machine, so the actual wording amy be slightly different)
