Shipping Service Providers

The store I'm deploying will be performing all shipping/handling out of the US and I wish to use UPS for that purpose. I managed to obtain a copy of the US version of Actinic Dev6 which has UPS as a Shipping Service provider option. What I am wondering is if I select UPS, do I have to also enter information into the shipping tab or will the UPS online tools take over that. I'm hoping I don't have to enter all the by Zone shipping information. The help system is rather opaque on this point.

Sorry that you found the help system opaque. I have mentioned this to the development team for correction in a future release.

All you have to do in the 'Shipping' tab is make sure you are charging shipping by weight.

Then in the 'Service Providers' tab,

1) Select the UPS Online services you want ('Address Validation' etc.)

2) Click the 'Configure UPS OnLine Tools' button to enter information about your client's location etc.

3) Then select which UPS shipping methods you want to offer to your customers.

4) You also need to specify how you want errors handled.
