I am testing one of my client sites but can not add anything to their basket, each time I add to cart and display the basket it is empty.....why is this?

The client can add to the basket, and I can add to basket on other sites

    I'm stuck for ideas

Jo - you could check your cookie settings in Privacy options in your browser perhaps (Sites and Advanced). Or maybe even try another browser, FF maybe on your PC.

If it's not you then that server doesn't like you or your IP for some reason -odd.

          but its my server!!

it has to be my IP or my security on the internet connection

but why can i add to basket on one site and not on another when both sites are on the same server?

You don't have a common cgi script number causing a problem do you?

each site has its own cgi-bin, therefore there shouldn't be a cgi script number conflict

What about permissions on the folders and cgi etc.- your client is the owner - so could work for them.

folder permissions shouldn't make a difference, when the client is buying from his own shop online he is not recognised as the owner

i've looked at the site using FTP and can't see any thing amiss

May I PM you the URL for you to see if you can add to basket?

Duncan has pointed out my oversight.

I was trying to add an item to my basket which I needed to be logged in to the site to do.
