?s instead of £s in custom options

Custom option prices on our site appear in drop down menus as ?99.99 instead of £99.99. anyone know what causes this?

We had a similar problem a while ago, it was something to do the how apache is configured, had to change a setting in http conf (although if you are on shared hosting this will be impossible, but you may be able to use a .htaccess file.

Nope, just had a scan though the http conf and nothing is ringing a bell, might have something to do with charsets but not sure. I did liase with actinic on it, and they said they would add a knowledgebase article.
