I would like users to register their details on my site. This is purely optional but I would like to build a database of prospects. How best is this implemented using Actinic Catalog V7 ?

In my book You have 2 options, set a product with a 0 value and 0 weight. a visitor will have to add to cart and then go to checkout in order for you to get the details, Klunky and unlikely to get results.
The other way (preferable) is to use a FORM embedded into a page, when they fill that out and submit it, it can then go into an email to you, from there you can do what you want.
Other than that it is PHP and MySql.
