    Email notification on orders problem

    Hi,

    I look after an Actinic shop for my client and they are experiencing the below problem:

    When I try to mail the customer, using the shop, to acknowledge that the order has been "shipped", it now fails each time even if I do "retry".
    But when I close that box by the "X" top corner, it then shows as sent.
    Seems a bit odd, as I am only closing the box.

    As they only download orders and I have updated the shop a few times, might there be a problem there? If so do they need to install an updated copy of the site? If so would this affect the orders they already have on their copy?

    If this isn't the problem does anyone have any other thoughts?

    There is no need for them to have an updated snapshot unless they have stock monitoring enabled. The issue is a strange one as the email should be sent on you sending it. Do you get all other mails OK from the site, like confirmation emails, order emails, network test confirmation emails etc?
