    Link for Sage globals problem

    Hi

I have a problem with the Carriage/Global Codes settings in Link:

Nominal codes and Tax codes seem to be working OK, but the Global Dept, which I have as 'use fixed value', doesn't seem to be going into Sage in either the Invoice or the New Customer.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks, Dan

    Dan,

Have you checked in the Footer Detail area of the Invoices to see if it is carried over? Are you running Link in 'Linked Mode' or in 'Unlinked Mode'? Transferring Global Codes is not available when Actinic Link is running in unlinked mode. Take a look at the user guide page 47 for running in 'Linked Mode'.

    Kind regards,

      Hi Bruce,

Thanks for your reply. I am running linked, I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'carried over'.

In the Invoice in Sage, on the Footer Details tab, "Carriage | N/C" and "Global | N/C" are receiving the correct codes from Link, but "Global | Department" seems to be getting an arbitrary number which does not correspond to the Dept specified in Link (Transfer Global Dept, Use Fixed Value, "Mail Order")

        Dan,

Have asked Development if they have a clue as to why this is not transferring over to Sage. WIll keep you updated.

        Kind regards,

          Hi Dan,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. This is a bug with the Profile settings in link taking the index of the combo instead of the value entered.

The workaround is to open SageProfilesExport.ini file and set the appropriate value for the Global entry like this....

          FixedGlobalDeptNo=100

Note that any time you open your Link profile for edition Link will overwrite
the ini file so you will have to re-apply the changes.

          Kind regards,
