I don't want to use frames anymore...

Hi folks!

Is it possible (without too much disruption) to convert an Actinic site that has been constructed using a frames based template to a site that does not use frames?

I hear more and more each day about how sites that use frames are doomed in the long term as far as Internet search engines are concerned as the search engine doesn't crawl a frame based site thoroughly enough (or something like that).

Indeed I can never find our site for love nor money on Google, Yahoo etc (and yes I have registered with them).

Is it possible to dramatically change the basis for the site without creating havoc?

You could take a snapshot, and make a backup copy of the whole site1 folder to a safe location, then just try changing theme a few times to see how much work would be needed in each altenative. Reimport the snapshot to return to your current theme between tries and if the snapshot import fails, you have your backup.
