picture submission

hi,

im currently building a site for a printer firm and they want a submission link for art files does actinic offer that service or shall i have to write up the code?

Actinic does not include any functions which allows site visitors to upload files to you, but plenty of permission based and open access file upload scripts out there to pick from, but when building these types of things always ensure you get a decent solution (or build one) which can assign limits safely on what they can upload and the size as someone, somewhere will try and use it to fill your hosting account or take it down, so free is not always best solution in these situations, although everything has its place

Check out http://www.hotscripts.com/ for a whole range of upload scripts ... as well as the advice above on size a good script will allow you set allow only certain file types (jpeg, gif, etc) as you don't want someone uploading and running an exe file on the server.
