Amending Actinic templates - advice please

So far so good, I've totally revamped the site's overall look, given it a fresh coat of paint and one or two spanky new graphics... I've even been clever and incorporated the graphics into the actinic templates and fiddled with the html to change the column widths etc...

I've fondled Act_Primary.html and Act_PrimaryCheckout.html, and when I upload the site and try to order something, my new graphics appear on the "main page" and the "basket" page, but when I then try to "checkout now" it all goes kinda pear-shaped...

Can someone please give me a pointer (or several!) as to where I have gone wrong? It was all going so well...

I've also apparently put the wrong details somewhere for our SSL certificate - any suggestions what I should put and where? I don't like the look of the error message you get when you try and checkout - it gives the impression that we don't have SSL - which we do!

Its probably due to the fact that you cant access some of your pages and documents using your secure https:// prefix.

eg.

https://www.pullingontheglitz.co.uk/acatalog/


You should create a seperate template for your checkout page and create all your image links and css includes as absolute links using the secure https:// prefix.

i.e https://www.pullingontheglitz.co.uk/acatalog/ccards.gif


however I noticed that the above url is forbidden using the secure link where as it works on a non secure link-->

you should talk to your host about this.

As a design note you should look at reducing the ACTSDWIDTH value under Design | Options | Sites Defaults to prevent the page scrolling horizontally

Its set to 600 at the moment - what should I reduce it to? and what effect will this have please?

You could probably try 550 or 500 and then check to see if it helps with the horizontal scrolling. You will need to play around with it to get it to your liking.
