engraving - plus pricing

some products can be engraved.

The pricing model is £20 setup cost then 35p per item

all products can be gifted wrapped and this is set up as an attribute, for some reason you cannot have an attribute and a component.

if i set up a component as a product i can have a another info question for the text, but the pricing options do not support my needed pricing model, plus I lose the wrapping paper attribute.

any ideas would be very welcome.

I would suggest using the article in the getting started guide on creating product Pick lists. This is using a single add to cart button per page.

You can have attribute(s) and components but it's a little complicated.

You have to attach the Attribute to a component, not the main product.

People often make a dummy, zero-price, non-optional, component (called say Customer Choice) that they attach the Attributes to.
