Help making NETQUOTEVAR’s function on non actinic pages.

I use actinic as part of a web site that also contains a lot of non-actinc pages. I’m redesigning, and would like some help on how I can get my non actinic pages to work with some of the NETQUOTESVAR’s. More specifically NETQUOTEVAR:FOOTERGUIDE and NETQUOTEVAR:SIMPLESEARCH.

I have created a layout I’m happy with by editing the act_primary template, but would like to create a uniform look across the rest of my non-actinic site. For example, if some one wanted to click on a ‘view cart’ button outside of actinic I would like it to function exactly the same way as if someone clicked on it from within actinic.

Same with the ‘Quick Search’. I would like people to be able to search my actinic products from a non actinic page.

    How can I do this?

Probably the easiest way would be to visit a shop page online and view | source, then copy the generated html code you want and add that into the non-actinic pages.

Thanks Bill. Though I'm looking for a way that could somehow link the NETQUOTESVAR’s back to actinic. So if I changed a button gif, say, in the design/options/navigation part of actinic it would automatically update the non-actinic pages.

I think Bill's suggestion will be the way to go as you will not be able to link the NETQUOTEVAR's to non-actinic pages.

        Kind regards,

If you are pointing to the same GIF file in the non-actinic pages then when you change the image it will remain the same - use the same file name when creating and saving the new GIF image (rename the obsolete file as nav_OLD.gif or whatever)
