Saving invoices with Crystal Reports 8.5

Hello there,

I have a trivial question, I undertstand that you can edit invoices and packing lists using Crystal Reports V 8.5 but does it enable you also to save them on you hard drive for sending as email attachement later on for example.
What format will it be then, does the recipient also need CR 8.5 to read them?
If a different format which one, pdf, html,...

Also can someone confirm that version 9,10 or 11 does NOT work?

What you normally do is edit the template file using CR8.5 and save that template file in the same place as your existing mail templates. If you want to use the new template as a permanent replacement for the existing Actinic mail, you would use the same template name and overwrite the existing (you might want to save the existing default mail somewhere safe before you do this for the first time).

V9,10,11 even v8 will not work.

You can export from crystal report to many formats, it is not that user friendly, if you for example decide to export to PDF format, you can then send that to someone and they will read it with a PDF reader, ie they will not need crystal reports to read it.
