Which Pages are Secure?

I've just uploaded my site to my domain and did a test order. I am taking credit card details and processing them offline for the time being. I have noticed that I enter the secure environment at the first checkout step (ie. where the customer selects the shipping destination).

I was of the understanding that only the final checkout step (ie. where credit card details are captured) was secure. Or is this perhaps the case when using a PSP?

That's fine. When you are using your own SSL certificate, the whole checkout is secure, not just the last payment page.
