having different digital files for choices

I remember reading somewhere how I can set different digital files for different choice, but now I can't find it anywhere.

In effect, I want to offer the same document in either PDF or Word. By using a radio button the user should choose which type they want and by pressing the Add to Cart button they should receive the relevent file.

Can anyone help me or point me to the other post.

Hi,

You need to have a separate hidden product for each file type and put the digital download files in these products. Then on your master product set a component, attribute and choices (1 for each type). Then in the component permutations tab, click the 'Fill List' button and set the product column for each permutation to the relevant hidden product. Each choice will then take it's details from the hidden product and the customer will get the relevant option to download.

Your content tree will look something like:

Product
---Component
------Attribute
--------Choice (PDF)
--------Choice (Word Document)

Hidden Product (PDF)
Hidden Product (Word Document)
