How to Ommit sections from brochure/catalog pages

Hello all.
Does anyone know how to control which sections appear in the navigation bars created by actinic (NETQUOTEVAR:HEADERGUIDE & NETQUOTEVAR:FOOTERGUIDE).
I want to hide the 'Login' option, the 'show cart' and the 'checkout' buttons as I have coded them into the sites header.
Also, is there a proper way of doing this as I have simply applied the same link to these areas as I found on the my test server which will change when I upload to the live server?

In Actinic Help - Help Topics - Navigation Bar, is all the information you need to remove HEADERGUIDE/FOOTERGUIDE and replace them with selected links.

How do I link the netquotevars to an image within dreamweaver thought.
I tried adding them to the 'link' field but it all went a bit screwed.

The NETQUOTEVARS are already linked to images. If you want to use your own, you have two choices. Save your file in site1 using the same name as the existing image (overwrite the existing file) or use Custom links.
