    Email notification not working

    Hi,

    My client has found that when they try to email a customer to acknowledge that their order has being shipped they are no longer able to do so. It now fails each time even when they "retry". But when when they close the box by the "X" top corner, it then shows it as sent when it hasn't been.

    They have changed nothing on their system it has simply stopped working. Can anyone think why this is happening?

    Have you tried using "localhost" as the SMTP server (without the quotes)

      Hi Jont,

      Is that in Advanced Network Setup under the Email Settings? Just to check something, as I upload changes and my client downloads the orders do I get them to change the setting on their system or mine?

        Yes - under the Network setup. Both machines should be running the same setup but it is the clients that really needs fixing as that is where the emails are being sent from.

        Using localhost resolves a lot of issues - if that does not work check out Norman's patch over at www.drillpine.biz which I know others have used to effect.
