    missing images in preview

Hi, when I import a snapshot of the site ive constructed, there are a few images that are missing in preview. And they are missing from the preview html folder. Obviously I can copy the missing images to this folder and all is ok, but Id rather not have to try to explain why this is happening to the client. Can anyone tell me why this might be happening ?

    thanks in advance

If you have manually included references for images in fragments or other embedded html then Actinic will not automatically add those image files to the preview - You will have to manually add them to the previewhtml folder. Likewise you should include those files in the Additional Files list in Actinic.

thanks, the images that are missing are in add files along with others that I have manually added to a template so I can't understand why some are included and some arn't...anymore thoughts ?

You could check the missing filenames by right clicking and viewing 'properties'. I seem to remember that at one time there was a problem with image filenames using capital letters.

Any images that are not in the products require listing in additional files to work, otherwise they do not get uploaded to the server

I copy & paste images into the previewHTML folder if they do not show up correctly in preveiw.

You still need to add them in advanced>additonal files for them to be uploaded to the remote server.

check your path to the images as well - you may be trying to display images in preview mode that you havent uploaded yet. (done that before )

You could also check the source path of your image. If you have set it to be relative then putting it in Previewhtml should work, if you have made it absolute then it must obviously be uploaded at the that address and may only be visible when viewed online.
