META Keywords & Description ...again (sorry)

Would I be correct in thinking that the sub level will adopt its parents meta tags if none are specified?

And if no page title is specified that the product name will be used by default?

    and finally....

Also as a rule on thumb the Meta Description should not exceed 200 characters and should be a natarive of the current page. And Meta Keywords, should not be longer than 80 characters and words should not be repeated more than three times.

Under Design | Options | Sections there is a tick box to enable/disable keywords being taken from parent sections.

I personally leave this unchecked and add the keyword \ description in against each section so they are unique and focussed to that page.

As for the length and density of the description and keywords this is open to much debate (there is no real definitive answer as such - most is personal opinion and a lot of just plain common sense). There are quite a few healthy discussions on this forum about their use and also worth checking out some of the more SEO focussed forums out there also. Also worth checking out Googles own website as they have good hints and tips that are worth considering and following
