I'm after creating a number of text links from the main page into the product pages. Possibly a list of suppliers that appear at the bottom on the main page that take you to individual products. Just wondering what the best options are to achieve this?

Hi Bun,
How's your HTML knowledge?
If you're pretty confident with editing the templates I would hardcode the links. If you are using Actinic's brochure pages the default template that controls the home page is Act_BrochurePrimary.html. You can check this by going to Design | Options | Brochure. I find a good way of generating product links is simply searching for them and copying the URL generated by the search in the address bar. We also have a KB article with instructions on link straight to products here.
If you are not too confident in editing the templates I would suggest using fragments. Right click on the house icon in the content tree and select "New Fragment" Under the links tab you will see you can choose a product you wish to link to.
The layout might look better if you set them out in columns.
Dies this help?Regards,
Toby Blanchard

Taking Toby's advice a step further you could set up a CUSTOMVAR (Advanced | Custom Properties) eg PRODUCTLINK .... then adding that to the templates as above eg CUSTOMVAR:PRODUCTLINK
You can then specify the CUSTOMVAR (the url to the product) at a global level (Design | Options | Site Defaults) and then override at the section level to create a more focussed product link for similar items, specials etc (Section | Properties [tab])
