    Problem using pop-ups in the checkout

    I have a set-up a T&C's page that can be viewed in a pop-up anywhere in the site via clicking on a link.

    I have a problem in that if someone opens this pop-up on a checkout page and then cancels the checkout process, the page redirects to the pop-up page in the original browser window as opposed to the page it came from.

    Anybody any ideas on how to prevent this?

        Do you have URL in place for 'Completed and Abotred Checkout' in Design | Options | Miscellaneous? What is it?

            David,

            Thanks for that. Clicking on the pop-up for some reason changes the ref page URL to that of the Terms page instead of the page from which it comes from. I will have to get development to take a look at this for you.

                David,

                Can you check Design | Options | Miscellaneous and 'Generation Options' for 'No frames in Checkout', can you try it with this option unchecked. It works like this using a default site, does not work with frames in checkout as using frames here will over-ride the URl for 'Completed and aborted checkout'.

                    I would suggest raising a support ticket @ http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/register.htm as we may need to take a look at a snapshot to see what is causing this issue.

                      Sorry, should have asked you to select 'No frames in Checkout' and then update site, I was thinking this but typed it wrong. !!

                        Bruce - this option was already unchecked so I did not change it.

                        I have raised a incident as suggested.

                          I meant to tell you to check the option and then upload. I had asked you to uncheck the option instead !! Try this and se if it works.

                            Hi Bruce - done that and it works - Excellent - thanks for your time.

                            What is a bit weird is that I have about 7 other client sites on my Pc and this is checked for all of them - and yet I missed this one.

                              Hi - I have now put this live and the problem has raised it's ugly head again.

                              See Seasalt Organic Cottons

                              The checkout section now works fine but the problem has surfaced in the shopping cart. If you click on "My basket", then "View Terms & Conditions" then "Continue Shopping" you get the same error as previously reportred.
