Checkout not working for me, it crashes at the perl script. This is similar to what happened when I used fasthosts, they eventually told me that the server didnt support actinic and that was that.

Nice site btw, I may just buy some gear for the next trip
    Kind regards,

    Michael

      Hi Mike,

Do I do this via the 'Advanced Network Setup' page? Would putting this info up here be ok? Please excuse my over cautious attitude

Good Lord!! I hope not .......it was Fasthosts that told me to swap to their Linux servers. I told them exactly what I was doing.....as in, building an Actinic site

        Thanks for the compliment

If I remember correctly I was on the other package (not linux) and I think thats where the perl script problems came from. You should be ok, especially with the help from this forum. Delete your passwords / logins from any thing you paste here, is everything else working like test emails etc etc ?
          Kind regards,

On the Advanced | Network Setup there is a button for Export. Save the file to your desktop and edit it with Notepad or some other text editor to remove usernames and passwords. The rest can safely be posted here.

Please also confirm if you have your own SSL certificate, issued in the name of your website and installed on the website by your hosts, or if you are using a shared SSL option. (NOTE: The shared SSL tickbox in Actinic is only if you are using Actinic provided SSL).

I don't think you should have that /htdocs in the SSL URL if you don't have it in the HTTP version.

Well the ssl is handled by thawte and I had no problems when I used them before. Im not 100% sure but the sslcgibinurl sounds like it shouldnt be htdocs/cgi-bin/ but wait for someone else to comment on that. I know that the address bar shows something that doesnt look quite right when going to checkout.

Can you get fasthost phone support ?
                    Kind regards,

This previous post may help but its a year old so im not sure.

                        http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?p=55106

Its starts off saying ssl wont work with fasthosts but then mentions having the whole site under ssl and not just checkout ?
                        Kind regards,

Okay.....I've just removed the /htdocs from the SSL URL. Just uploading again to see if that's the problem

Thanks for your time fellas....it's very much appreciated

I'm afraid not.......it's still glitching on the checkout.

Maybe it's time to email Fasthosts?

I would phone them if they offer a standard rate call.

As an avid carper I find your site interesting but im sure some of the other forum members are wondering what on earth 'camo carp corn' is

LOL!!!! It had me fummoxed for a few weeks as well. It's Phil, who I run the shop with who's the Carp fanatic. I tend to lean towards the Pole for most of my fishing

I've just emailed Fasthosts......let's see what they have to say on the subject
