Receipt Thank You

Hi - teeny weeny bit of help please.

I would like to acknowledge successful orders with a thank you page.
Currently customer receipt (Act_Order04 from memory) has a done/submit button at bottom of page- customer then taken back to store.

I would like to change the button properties to link to a 'Thank you for ordering page' then bounce them back to store. Cannot seem to find the way to alter the target for this link. Presume I'll have to create a stand alone 'thanks' page.

Any ideas gratefully received. Please don't laugh at my store - only been doing html for a year!!

Hi,

This is not much help, but somewhere in the posts is an article which tells you how to do what you want. If I remember right you change a little bit of code in Act_Order04, add some words or HTML in the same and it takes you to a thank you page (which is just the screen with the word or HTML you entered on it) and then bounces you back to the site.

If I can find I shall let you know.

Open the reciept template and look at the bottom of the page for NETQUOTEVARONEBUTTON cut and paste this into your Thank You page. Place a link where the button was to your Thank You page.

There may be better ways but this works for me.

how long is the delay before it bounces? It says 5 - is that 5 seconds and can they be extended to perhaps 15 - or is there a limit?

Several of the above posters may have missed the fact that in Design | Options | Miscellaneous there is a field for 'URL for completed and aborted checkout' which is where you enter the URL of your Thank You page, and

In Design | Options | Site Defaults there is a field for Bounce Delay - setting this to 0 (zero) removes the bounce completely (from every place that Bounce is used).

WE do know - but I tend to leave that on the homepage. hard coding in the reciept is my prefered method.
