stock monitoring

I have set up a website selling shoes, I have set up each product (the shoe) with a attribute (size) and my choces are the sizes (eg 5, 5.5, 6)

The thing is the customer can select an unlimited quantity of sizes per product and i only have 1 of each available.

I have tried to put in stock monitoring but it is for the product as a whole so it doesnt work.

You need to create a hidden product for each size, enable stock control on that product, then associate the each choice on the visible product with the correct hidden product.

so would i have to put a component before the atribute? and then make a hidden product for each size?

also I have already listed all my products, is there a quick way to do this all as bulk?

Since you say you only have one of each in stock, it may be quicker and easier for you to explore the 'Quantity always one' help.
