index pages

hi

I have manually created index files for both the homepage and the shop homepage buy everytime i update the actinic software it overwrites the shop homepage with the original actinic page and asks about overwriting the main index page.

is there a way to turn this off as i am now handing my site across to someone who doesnt know anything about IT and therefore wont know how to manually upload the index pages..

Any ideas?

In the content tree click on the top icon (often labelled Home) and you will see a tick box to "use as site homepage"

Hi,

In addition to what Jont says, if you uncheck 'Use as website home page', enter a specific URL under Home Page Link in Design | Options | Miscellaneous and in Site Defaults enters the first shop page name, then it will work as you want it to.
