Outstanding Products Report not printing component/attribute choices

Hi - I have an issue with the Outstanding Products Report.

This is for a clothing shop www.seasaltorganic.co.uk where there are choices of colour and sizes for garments.

When I print an Outstanding Products Report there are no component/attribute choices printed for the products - in this case size and colour.

I have compared this to an existing site developed under Actinic V5.0 - www.wildlifeonline.com and the choices are printed for this version.

In Order to show the components/attributes and choices on the Outstanding Product reports the choices must be associated to the hidden products because the outstanding products reports is based on the list of products.

Hi - I think you've lost me a little here.

Each of the products in the store has a component under it named seasalt. In this component there are 2 attributes colour and size which are different for each product. The permutations list is filled to give all the colour/size possibilities for each product.

So someone chooses a jumper as a product - looks nice in Green and my size is 10. All this is printed out on the packing list but not on the outstanding products report. the outstanding report says that there is a jumper required - no size, no colour.

I do not have any hidden products.

You will have to create hidden products for each choice and associate them under permutations tab for a component in order to show them on the outstanding products reports.

Example:

Create a hidden product for color Green and one for Size 10. Now under permutaion tab for the component (seasalt) associate the product (Green) with the choice (Green) and the product 10 with choice 10.

Hi - Could you confirm that this is a design change from Version 5 and not a bug.

If it is a design change could you please explain why it was introduced as it seems to be a retrogressive action requiring a lot more work on behalf of the merchant.

In version 5 the Outstanding Products report printed component/attribute choices without the need to set them up as hidden products.

I have confirmed with the development team that this is a bug and the workaround for this would be to associate the choices to a hidden product in order to view them in the report.

Hi - I have just got around to doing the following and I cannot see how to do it:

There is not a permutation Green by itself or a permutation 10 by itself. THe permutations are a mix of all the choices. In this case the permutations are:

Green 8
Green 10
Green 12
Green 14

Red 8
Red 10
Red 12
Red 14

Does this mean I have to create a hidden product for every colour/size combination?

Am I doing this correctly or is this as good as it gets?

The attached image shows 2 seperate orders from a product I have set-up using the instructions provided.

A couple of questions?

1. Is this how it is supposed to look?
2. How am I supposed to use this for picking products?

1. Yes
2. The attributes has its own entry on the report with the same order details as that of the main product. With this you can summarise the reports based on choices.

Hi Dhivya - I have spoken to my client and they have told me that this is unworkable as a workaround, and to be honest I have to agree with them.

Therefore I woud appreciate it if Actinic could provide a patch to fix, what is, a major problem with the back office portion of the Actinic software.

This issue has been discussed by the development, and this issue will be fixed in 7.0.7. It likely to be a report change rather than a application change. Please note that the fix will not be to put the report back to the way v5 worked but rather a merge of v5 style and v7 style.

The new report should show components as in v5 unless they have an associated product in which case they will be reported as in v7.
