    Support Tickets

    Hi all,

We are looking for a good way to handle customer support. In the past, we have found email to be flakey as many AOL and hotmail users don't get our replies and then slam us for not caring!

So, we are looking to move to a ticket system where they can go online and check the reply, as well as get an email. Are there any that integrate well into Actinic, or are there any recommended third party systems which can be run in a new window etc.?

    Thanks in advance.

I haven't used this but was browsing around and found that AffiliatePro do CosmicContact (http://www.cosmicperl.com/contacts.html) which might suit you.

Edit: Also found this Open Source one here:

we use kayako for our support desk, you can either buy the software and run it from your own url or use the hosted edition. you can customise the css to fit your own colour scheme (we dont do this as you can lose the customisation each time you upgrade)

We followed Jo down the kayako route - it's cheap and cheerful. I've found that customers sometimes don't receive replies (sent by email) and sometimes their replies don't make it into the system but it's good enough I think. We pay £23 a month.
