    Exporting Orders from Actinic

    Hi

Does anyone know a way of exporting orders from Actinic so it produces 1 csv file containing all of a customers order details, rather than a file for persons.csv, orders.csv, payments.csv etc. or is there a way of merging all of these files together so that you have the complete customer order on 1 csv file.

    Thanks

You can use our One Stop Order Processing Tool Advanced version to do this (released on the website but not announced yet - so this is brand new info). You can use this product to easily build custom order data views, and then export them to file, you can also add fields into Actinic orders and carry out spreadsheet style calculations. It is a really nice product.

You can find more details and a free trial at the URL below :

What are you planning to do with your data once it is exported?

      Re Exporting Orders from Actinic

      Hi Jan

Thanks for letting me know. Will be trying out the software.
What I'm trying to do is to hopefully convert the csv file to xml.

        NEW Install

        hi,

we currently have a live website using v6 business.

i have recently installed actinic v6 business onto a new machine, redesigned the layout and entered a new seperate catalogue of products, and images, took me 2 months.

now i would like to overwrite my existing catalogue with the new one, how would i keep my completed and pending orders from dissapeering. and would the network and shipping prices also be overwritten. if so how do i go about keeping the:-

        shipping tables
        current and completed orders
        network settings

        anyone?

          Hi Darren

You can export the site snapshot which will take a complete backup of all the site details inlcuding shipping tables, orders and network settings.

          To Export the Snapshot

Go to File | Snapshot | Export site

          I hope this helps.

If you take a snapshot of your new site, you can import it into the old one. You will be asked if you want to overwrite the orders which you will reply "NO" therfore keeping the original orders.

For network settings you can export these from the original site and import them into the new one prior to taking the above snapshot

I think you can do the same with the shipping but not sure

            so Export network
            install network on new computer
            same for shipping
            make snapshot
import snapshot onto old computer not overwriting the orders
