cgi folder -how to set up?

I've tried to upload my website to 123-reg - without sucess

I cant go to 'Website details' as it's greyed out, so I've tried 'Advanced/network setup', this asks about a cgi-bin.

123-reg does not have a cgi-bin, it say's that 'your entire web space will be cgi-enabled. This means you are able to create a cgi-bin'

How does one set up a cgi-bin?

As a novice I find this confusing, any help appreciated

    Thanks - Nigel.

You will need ftp access to the server where you can create the cgi-bin. Or email 123-reg support and they should create one for you.

Thanks Malcolm, I've uploaded the site (by ipswitch) but not sure how to create a cgi-bin. 123 are not being cooperative which doesn't help. Hopefully they might respond positively.

All I have done in the past with 123 reg is to create a folder called cgi-bin on the server and use the Actinic wizard.
