How can I get this font:

Helvetica™ Rounded Bold

in my css?


check the new shop indevelopment www.miffyshop.co.uk, the official font for the brand is : Helvetica™ Rounded Bold

Design | Options - Site Defaults, ACTCSSFONTFAMILY add "Helvetica Rounded Bold", including the quotation marks and the comma, in front of whatever is already there.

Note that this will only work for customers who have the Helvetica Rounded Bold on their PC. You could add a fragment telling people the official font for the site is HRB and give them a link to where the font can be downloaded (perhaps on your site?).

You shouldn't really be asking people to download and install fonts - the vast majority won't and will leave the site - so if it is for a specific design purpose (logo etc) then you need to either specify a standard font or set it as a graphic file (GIF)

Helvetica is the MAC font - the closest on the PC is Arial (but not as nice)

In css you are generally best not specifying the weight option in the font-familly to allow for users who do not have the BOLD version installed and allows greater flexibility as your can add font-weight: bold (or other weight variations) to hightlight certain parts of the text ..... this is a browser interpretation of bold and not always the same as the installed bold font though so may be worth using in specific situations like <h1> tags etc if presentation is fickle (then someone accesses using Netscape 4 and all is lost anyhows - you can't win)
